I'm married to a wonderful man named Michael (who I met online at AveMariaSingles.com), and we made our vows on the Feast Day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (July 16th) in 2011.
In September 2012, I gave birth to our first son, Liam. He is the joy of our hearts!
Baby #2 is baking in the oven, and we can't wait for his or her arrival. My due date is the feast of St. Valentine!
Being a stay-at-home mother is one of the greatest gifts I've ever been blessed with, and I will never take it for granted.
Prior to the vocation of motherhood, I taught 7th grade pre-algebra at our local middle school -- and it was a very full-time (but also rewarding!) career.
I love spending time with my family and friends. Blogging is my therapy, and I do it in order to reflect on life and to remember the special moments of our lives. I love spending time outside with my son and occasionally enjoying the honor of speaking to young adults about proper courtship before marriage.
I also love decorating our house with vintage flea market finds, experimenting with new recipes, and entertaining dear friends as guests. I have a weakness for handbags that is rooted so deeply into my subconscious that I actually have visions of handbags in my dreams and awake trying desperately to make sketches of them. Perhaps I missed my calling to be a designer!
I am most grateful to be a child of God, a member of a wonderful extended family, to have the guidance of my Catholic faith, and to have the health of mind, body, and spirit to do God's will in the best way that I know how -- and I am always learning!
