Last night, I invited over some friends for dinner to celebrate All Saints Day!Our little feast consisted of spaghetti, Shawn's homemade meatballs and stuffed mushrooms, Andy's cheese bread and Italian bread, a salad with yummy grape tomatoes, candied walnuts, and croutons, hot apple cider with cinnamon and nutmeg, and pumpkin whoopie pies for dessert!
In light of the Catholic feast day, I decided to make our table centerpiece be a happy little crowd of saint statues (which I gathered up from my Prayer Room). On each place setting, I put a holy card with a picture of a saint on it.
Unfortunately, Andy's girlfriend Maria could not join us. She was missed! We wish she didn't live so far away. Hopefully soon we'll be able to do this again and have her in attendance!
My parents stopped by to visit us all, and before long, the house was a crowded, joyful place...where seats were at a premium!
