Hello, dear friends!
How busy my November has been so far! I love the November holiday season, but I am eager for Christmas to get here. When it's here, it will be the celebration not only of Christ's birth but the end of a three-month stretch of many out-of-town or out-of-state weekend obligations that I've had! Oh, how nice it will be to have an open weekend for once -- and, oh, how nice it will be to start scheduling time with friends again! The year 2011 couldn't get here soon enough! Haha. :)
With my extended family ever-growing, this year we are blessed to have TWO Thanksgiving celebrations.
This weekend we had Feast #1. We gathered at my cousin Matthew's house, and his lovely wife Jennifer and wonderful mother Maryann cooked up quite a meal!
So, to contribute to the feast, the night before I decided to try my hand at baking pumpkin spice cookies. As my little house warmed with the delightful aroma of baking cookies, I couldn't resist playing my Christmas station on Pandora, just to feel extra festive. :)
