Our Marian Feast Day Dinner Party!

Here's the table I set for our little feast day dinner party on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception this past Wednesday!  As a center piece, I placed on the table a nativity statue of the Holy Family, nestled in my Advent wreath.

After we attended Mass across the street, we all walked the short distance back to my little home, where we were so glad to get in from the freezing cold!

Praise be to God, my guests said the lamb was good!!  With it, we had cooked red onions, carrots, red potatoes, and celery.  On the edge of each plate, I gave each guest a small sprig of fresh parsley (which is said to aid in digestion).

Anne and Brad brought homemade cornbread, which Michael and I gobbled up ravenously.  I served hot apple cider, which I spiced up with cinnamon sticks.  For dessert, we had warm apple dumplings (which I prefer to eat covered in milk).

Their precious little daughter Lily seemed to find my house decor fascinating, and she absolutely ADORED Macy, who was gentle and kind with her.

The six of us ended the night in the Prayer Room, praying a consecration prayer to Our Lady.  I hope your feast day was just as lovely!
