Did you know that your pancreas is the first organ in your body to wake up in the morning?
Yes, even before your eye lids open, your pancreas has stirred and begun his day.
He's eagerly waiting for the rest of you and your body to wake up. He sits there, anticipating the sound of your alarm clock.
Meanwhile, he begins doing what he always does....making sugars. Or maybe it's insulin.
Well, whatever he usually makes, he starts making--with ferocity--all in anticipation of breakfast.
As soon as you wake and eat breakfast, he chills-out and stops his high-level production of things. For all intensive purposes, that tasty breakfast was his ticket to a morning nap. So, as you begin to shower, dress, and run about, getting ready for work, he snuggles up to your stomach and takes a cozy nap in your mid-section.
But if you don't eat breakfast as soon as you wake up, Mr. Pancreas will just keep making and making and making all those sugars. By lunchtime when you're finally going to eat, he's produced an over-abundance, which your body has to assimilate into FAT. Yuck!
So now you know the real reason why eating breakfast is so important. :)
