Fresh Fruit Cups: A Summertime Appetizer


If you come to eat at our house in the Summertime, you're almost guaranteed to be served one of these little fresh fruit cups as an appetizer.  :) 

I usually put vanilla Greek yogurt or healthy cottage cheese in the bottom of each little glass cup.  The key is to make everything as small as possible, for the purpose of an appetizer is not to overwhelm but merely to entice the appetite for what's to come in the main course, right?

"So why are the kiwi slices rectangular?" you may be wondering.  Excellent question.  If you look closely, some are even hexagonal and one is even decagonal!  The reason is because I don't know how to cut slices of kiwi and adequately remove the fuzzy brown fur skin without also chopping off a significant portion of the kiwi fruit itself.  If you have any suggestions, I'm all ears!
