The Tomato Basil Tart Recipe

I'm posting this recipe at the request of my sister-in-law, Cindy. 

What a great dish to make when your garden has an overabundance of ripe tomatoes during this autumn harvest season!

So where did I learn of this amazing recipe?  I found it in the newspaper, and I still have the clipping in my recipe book. 

But do you notice anything special about this newspaper clipping?

Yes, that's my dear mother's name, winner of our newspaper's contest for best entree entry.  :)

And no matter how many times I make the tomato basil tart, it just doesn't taste as good as my mother's!
