Even Math Says It's a Miracle!

Before going to bed tonight, I decided to calculate the probability of my miraculous encounters with that particular verse of the Bible.

My thoughts went like this...

According to Like the Master Ministries, there are 31,173 verses in the entire Bible. Since I know that the verse appears twice in the Bible (once in Kings and once in Isaiah), the probability of encountering that verse is 2 in 31,173 (which simplifies to roughly 1 in 15,587). This is equal to approximately 0.006415%.

Combined probability is found when we calculate the chances of one desired event following another desired event, and we simply multiply those chances. Since I encountered this verse not once but THREE times, the mathematics would go something like this:

0.006415% X 0.006415% X 0.006415% = 0.0000000000264%.

So, in other words, the chances of me encountering that exact same verse three times in one month is virtually ZERO. Yes, even mathematics confirms that a miracle did happen!
