This weekend the unsightly, big black box in my living room finally died. And I kinda celebrated. :-)If you've been to my apartment, you'll know that nothing in here is black except for a few clothes, one jar of nail polish (left over from high school), and my mascara.
Oh...and then there's the big black box.
It's the sore spot in my living room, and I rarely ever watch anything on it, mostly because I've never had cable, and the three channels that I can choose from are incredibly boring.
And so it sits there, collecting dust, doing nothing until that rare evening when I find myself finally watching a movie from the list of 10,000 that I'm supposed to have seen.
I know I'm supposed to hook this converter box up to it or whatever, but of course I've already tried multiple times and with no success. Even my mother and father both had a gander at it. None of us can figure it out. Do I need a new antenna? Probably, but who feels like it?
So I will be living sans TV now, but it's not like I will feel any different. I'll just use my laptop instead. :-)
