I am beginning to learn that even the tiniest, almost non-detectable nudge of one's heart should be followed if you feel that God is prompting you to open your Bible.Even when the time appears to be inconvenient or odd, go with it. Because today, as I was putting away clean laundry that had just finished drying, my eyes spotted my Bible, and my heart told me to open it. And so I stopped what I was doing and did just that.
I squeezed my eyes closed and let my fingers enter between two pages of their choosing. And, as usual, I skimmed the pages open before me to see if anything was relevant.
And what was before me? You guessed it. There it was, in the 19th Chapter of 2nd Kings, this, my beloved verse:
This shall be a sign for you:
This year, you shall eat the aftergrowth,
Next year, what grows of itself;
But in the third year, sow and reap,
Plant vineyards and eat their fruit!
This is the SIXTH divinely-orchestrated appearance of this message to me since March 29, 2009. On average, God has been presenting this verse to me once every 13 days. Incredible! And no, my Bible's pages are not creased open to any page in particular. Remember, this verse has presented itself to me in more than one location within the same Bible and also even in another Bible!
Pray for me that I fully understand and respond to His call!
