I always carry a camera in my handbag.Why?
Because you never know when you're going to encounter a sight that's just plain funny!
Today I encountered two random sights that made me do a double-take! In both instances, I pulled over immediately to take a photograph.
The first was a pair of dirty trash cans. I can't believe the Recycling Bin just stood around and watched!
The second thing that made me bust up today was when an Amish man pulled his horse and buggy into the gas station to...fill 'er up, I suppose?
In both cases, I couldn't stop laughing out loud!
The Amish man actually looked over at me after I snapped this photograph, and I immediately feared that he was going to holler at me.While he certainly could have been upset at my touristy behavior with the camera, he actually smiled with a big grin and appeared to chuckle a bit -- as if he were thankful for the opportunity of our eyes meeting because it gave him a chance to let a bit of a laugh out!
But really, could he blame me for enjoying this site so much?! And how could he not joyfully laugh a bit at himself for being in such a peculiar situation, right?
Or maybe it was just my imagination that he appeared to laugh! Whatever it was, it sure was a fun encounter! He had come to fill up a big tank with gasoline for his farm equipment, I'm sure. :-)
