Last night, a mysterious paw print appeared on the side of my bathroom tub!
I joyously bent down to examine it, then ran for my camera so that you would have proof.
Had my future canine companion taken her first metaphorical step into my life? Were we one step closer to being together?
My mind joyfully raced to figure out the stain's origin, hoping that indeed I could give credit only to a canine.
But soon I realized that this marking was left over from the piece of cactus chollya wood which I had rinsed when I cleaned out my hermit crab cage earlier that afternoon.
Was I disappointed? Yes. But did this sign bring me hope and speak to my heart that I might find my canine companion soon? Absolutely!
