This was the third annual celebration held at Jon's awesome penthouse condo. When the tradition began, he was living there with his roommate Marc. Today Jon is married to Kelly and Marc is engaged to my friend Jenny! All of us have so much to be thankful for.
We chose to celebrate the Puerto Rican New Year (at 11 PM EST) so that by 12 Midnight we could all attend a private mass in a little chapel that Father Jeff opened only for us. St. Mary's Chapel is tiny, built of field stone, and was made before such luxuries as indoor pluming or heat. We kept our jackets on. :)
What a blessed experience it was to begin our new year of 2012 receiving Jesus in the Eucharist while amongst friends!
