New Year's Day Celebrations

In this area, it's a Dutch tradition to eat pork and sauerkraut on the first day of the new year.  Many of our local Protestant churches are known for serving delicious pork and sauerkraut dinners on January 1st.   For just $10 a person, we all decided to feast at a local church which was just down the street from our house.  It was delicious!

Afterward, Mom, Dad, and Grandmom came back to our house for a little gift exchange.  Dad loved the magnet I got for his car!  Macy was so thrilled for us to have company!

This magnet seemed like the perfect gift to give a guy who loves his iPad!
