I've blogged previously about this elderly woman who attends daily mass and always brings with her a rose to give out to someone special. She must pick them from her garden, I would imagine. But how she picks her people, I have no idea. :)
Often, she'll place it on a person's pew when they get up to receive Communion. When the person returns to their seat, there is this fragrant beauty there to make them smile.
I was the lucky recipient today. When mass ended and the church cleared, I stayed behind to pray and sniff this lovely rose.
When I got home, I put it in a little vase and placed it on a shelf in the kitchen. :)
