Cranberry Apple Turkey Burgers

Yesterday I experimented with a new recipe!  I made turkey burgers with a twist.  :)

I chopped up and cooked on the skillet (with a little butter) an apple (leaving the skin on for extra fiber), a small onion, and three small stalks of celery.

Then I mixed these ingredients into the turkey meat, shaping everything into circular patties.  I cooked the burgers in the oven at 350 degrees for an hour, since I like my burgers to be well done.

I served the turkey burgers on toasted English muffins with Bibb lettuce and a dollop of pink sauce made by mixing equal parts whole-berry cranberry sauce with mayo.

My parents and Michael went absolutely nuts over them.  I was so pleased!  You should give them a try!!
