The Great Cloth Diaper Change

I'm SO EXCITED.  Liam and I are planning to set a WORLD RECORD later this month.

That's right, folks.  Little Liam and his mama are gonna be in the Guinness Book of World Records.  The next edition of this well-known book will soon be in print.  (And I'll be happy to personally sign your copy.)

So what are we planning to do that is so revolutionary?

We plan to be a part of the Great Cloth Diaper Change.  When this event premiered last year, it set the world record for the most reusable cloth diaper changes happening simultaneously.  Throughout the world in 15 different countries and 256 locations, mamas and their cherubs made a change.  Women in Malaysia got up at 2 AM just so that they'd be changing their babies at the same time as women did here.  Such dedication!

Millions of mamas are saving billions of disposable diapers from mucking up the landfills.  Plus, they've got an eye for what's cute.  And brightly-colored, cloth diapers with catchy brand names definitely are.

For this year's Great Cloth Diaper Change, 285 hosts have registered in 17 countries including Australia, Belgium, Canada, Switzerland, Chile, Germany, Spain, Finland, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Mexico, Malaysia, the Netherlands, and the US.  Yours truly will be driving just one state over to participate.

Great care is given to making sure that each location of cloth-diapering mamas is highly monitored for accuracy and authenticity.  Each location needs a pair of non-participating witnesses that are upstanding members of the community, such as a town mayor or police chief.  Official documentation with signatures, dates, and attached photographs is necessary.  Breaking a world record is a big deal, you see.
