Prince Liam Ascends to the Throne

Associated Press (AP) --

This week, Prince Liam ascended to the Goddard Family Throne.  However, don't expect him to rule from there for long.

"It's just temporary," Queen Lisa assures the press.  "As the prince grows in responsibility, we wanted to give him a regal place to do his business.  But, once he's done his business," she explains, "He's outta there!"

The white porcelain throne has become a family heirloom and is the current seat of King Michael.  The king shares his throne with his queen and the prince on an as-needed basis.

With the little prince now fully transitioned from his practice throne to the real one, the queen is doing less diaper-changing and more porcelain-cleaning.  And she's just fine with that.

"I have motivation now," she explains, with a spray bottle of vinegar in hand.  "The prince's hands are too tiny and precious to encounter the germs that were there before!"

Happy with his successes, Prince Liam squeals when he's done his business, and he responds promptly when he's called to return to the throne every 2 hours.

King Michael says that the little prince has been entrusted with private missions that have been referred to as Priority #1 and Priority #2.  And he's been doing a great job completing these tasks, both individually and in tandem.

"We're so proud of him," beamed King Michael. "The successor to the Goddard Family Throne is very able-bodied!"
