Sleepy Mornings at the Scone Shop
The other day, four of us had breakfast at an amazing scone shop. Who knew that we were in such close proximity to a world-famous place! Well, perhaps their specialty status is self-proclaimed, but they still deserve it. The little shop bakes all of their own scones and confectioneries -- and they are out of this world!
The place is endearing with its old-fashioned charm, and it's so small that it has only one table for guests. If the table is full, the only other option is to sit on one of the rocking chairs on the front porch. So cute!
And yes, I did say that it was FOUR of us who went to the scone shop. It was me, Michael, his friend Ray (who he'll be traveling to Spain with on a pilgrimage next month), plus one other special, rather furry guest.
If you look closely, you'll see her by my side. :)
