Your local fire company probably insists that it's "Fire Company No. 1."
And your local bank probably proclaims that it's the town's "First National Bank."
They pay no mind to the fact that--in the next town over--there's probably another #1 fire company and another first national bank.
Fortunately, not everyone is so arrogant.
This weekend I spotted a humble bank that honestly places themselves BEHIND first place. No, they're not always perfect. What they do isn't always proper. So, they've named themselves with an improper fraction: 5/3.
This simplifies, of course, to 1 and 2/3. So, they're not quite in second place. They are just slightly behind all the other banks in the world. But at least they are honest. :)
