Boo at the Zoo

It's become an annual tradition for us to visit the Philadelphia Zoo in the month of October to celebrate Boo at the Zoo!

All the kids (and the adults who are brave) come dressed in costume, and--as we visit all the animals--we get to stop by various locations where the zoo workers pass out candy.  What a great way to trick-or-treat!

We had a marvelous time again this year with Michael's side of the family.  Here are pictures from our day!

We did a Wizard of Oz theme!

Michael's brother's family chose a superhero (and one villain) theme!!  :)

Jen and Andrew let Addie dress up like Izzy from Jake and the Never Land Pirates.  Little Wyatt was a pirate!  So cute!!

Our boy was quite the trooper, considering the fact that underneath his costume, we wedged five layers of warmth!

Liam says, "Excuse me?  Can we get my cousin Wyatt in this picture so that I'm not the only boy?"

Despite all the layers under his costume, we put on yet another!  Liam must be saying, "Can you believe what they subject me to, Grandpa?"  Grandma kindly fed him his lunch because hungry lions can get ferocious!

As the layers piled on and Liam's costume grew too tight, we finally just bagged the costume idea altogether and let him get comfy in pajamas.  He was thrilled!

Liam and Mommy admire the polar bear.  Please tell me those are blonde highlights and not gray hairs!

What a great way to celebrate Halloween!
