Last Night's Halloween Parade

We LOVE our little town.  It's so perfect for us.  There are always such family-friendly festivities happening, and all are just a short walk from our home.

Last night, we participated in the Halloween Parade!  Grandma joined in on the fun, but unfortunately Grandpa had to work.

We, of course, did our Wizard of Oz theme again.  My mother wore a pumpkin costume that she sewed for me when I was a kid.

One precious little girl came up to whisper something in Michael's hear.  She said, "Next year, you might want her to be the Tim Man instead of a pumpkin," she kindly suggested.  She didn't want to hurt Mom's feelings but she wanted us to know that a pumpkin was not a character in the Wizard of Oz!  How cute!

Here are some pictures from last night's memory-making:

We concluded that Liam wasn't really smiley because Grandpa wasn't around.  Normally, our boy is all smiles and happy waves at an event such as this -- but normally Grandpa is with us, too.  Next year, maybe we can convince Grandpa to dress up as the Tin Man and we'll make my mother either the Wicked Witch of the West or the Glinda the Good Witch.  Does that sound like a good idea to you, Liam?  :)
